[ CIOS38 rev 17 ]:

- DIP plugin improved (some code has been rewritten).
- More error 001 bug fixing.
- DVD+DL bug fixed.
- FFS plugin fixed.

i install these on my wii, but what do they exactly do for the wii?

If you have an USB mass storage device, you can copy your Wii games into it and then play them with an USB loader of choice (mine is WiiFlow).

Some homebrew use this IOS and don't know what else can do.

If you still have your old Wii that can't play discs, install this IOS on there and buy an USB pen drive (cheaper ones you can find on Sam's Club, the 16GB i got costed $32 dollars) and stuff with some games you wanna play on the disc drive broken Wii and if has not yet been banned then there you go, you have back your old Wii + Wi-Fi access to your games and also this allows you to use texture hacks on MKWII.
